Creative Event Identity
Working collaboratively with global events agency and good friends, Rizer, BLOOD embedded themselves within to create a winning pitch and give birth to the overarching creative identity for Diageo’s annual World Bartender of the Year competition - World Class.
2019 took us to Glasgow, the home of Whisky, where our rationale and identity came to life in the form of the Glasgow Wordmark and 5 Whisky inspired cocktails all wrapped up in “Modern Tartan”. A tartan inspired by the legacies of celebrated Scottish artists Charles Rennie Mackintosh and David Batchelor. A meeting of two worlds with a tasteful twist… Future Heritage.

Celebrating the surroundings, the creative worked with photography in halftone. Woven into our Modern Tartan lives the landscape of Scotland.
Expanding the Modern Tartan into a graphic treatment, the suite tailors our rationale in 5 classic Whisky drinks. A Highball, Rob Roy, Whisky Flip, Julep and an Old Fashioned, all interpreted with a bold, modern approach.
Layered angular abstract shapes that marry up with landscape photography creating an aesthetic that embeds Scotland within the drinks and wraps its self around Diageo Reserve Portfolio.
